Day 2 – Osaka – Meeting up with KW Exchange
Once I got back to Osaka, I went to my AirBnB and took a quick shower. Yusef (Thrash Racing) and Eiji-san (EK Motors) were on their way to pick me up.
Backstory:
In 2019, Eiji-san helped me with getting the Zenki Front end. He was the one who shipped out. Afterwards, Eiji-san and I talked about doing a business for containers and parts exchange. But the Pandemic happened and that put a hold on everything. Eiji-san said I should talk to Yusef (of Thrash Racing). I met with Yusef and we had some good conversations before he headed back to Japan on a business visa. The company is KW Exchange.
Here we are in present day. Japan is open and I am going to meet up with KW Exchange in Osaka.
After I was picked up, we immediately headed to EK Motors. It was cool to see their cars and what was in store. I was also taken to Eiji-san’s body shop (last 2 pictures). Where I met Takoyaki, their body man and painter. THAT GUY IS A GENIUS!!!!
On the way to the body shop, We stopped by an abandoned VIP shop. I was so shocked to see molds and parts sitting around. I guess it’s been like that for 10yrs.
Afterwards, I was dropped off while they went to take care of some stuff. I got a message saying they were on the way back and let’s get something to eat.
We went to one of their food spots and was the food delicious. I was kind of shy, so I didn’t ask the owner for a picture.. but I regret that and I will be back for more food next time.
It was good to see Yusef (in Japan) and Eiji-san (to finally meet).
