Day 4 – Kagoshima and Sakurajima
I woke up early and jumped on the Shinkansen to Fukuoka. Once I got there, I went to my hotel and had them hold my luggage (check in time was 3pm). I immediately get on the Shinkansen and head towards Kagoshima Chuo station. Once there, I transferred to a train to Kagoshima station (by the marina).
This is the furthest south I have ever been in Japan. Once I saw Sakurajima, I jumped on the Ferry and went across.
My goal was to do the sand sauna.. but I found out I was in the wrong area.. I did find the foot onsen and spent a good hour hanging out. LOL.
I then headed back over to Kagoshima. There I took the street cars to see a temple.
From there I walked around learn some history, as this was History Road.
