Honolulu Hawaii 2016

I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii. It is one of those places you always where you hear the natural beauty and culture is amazing. I was given an opportunity to visit Hawaii through my work. I had to go to Honolulu for a week long training. We had bought new machines at my hospital and so Philips (our vendor) offered week long training session, paid hotel with breakfast and lunch vouchers and free paid travel.

This would only cover me (as I brought my family) and the training sessions were from 8am to 4pm… so pretty much all day.

Lodging was offered at the Waikiki Beach Marriot Resort, which was right by the beach!!!

I loved it!

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland 2009

I was amazed to see the Cliffs of Moher. It is pretty cool and scary to be on the edge of these cliffs. It was super windy that day, but again, it is majestic. Our family lived in Bray, which is south of Dublin on the East of Ireland.

Cliffs of Moher are on the west. We drove the Opel Zafira. It was a 4hr ride on the M7 highway.

The Spire of Dublin 2009

When we finally spent a day in Dublin, one of the things you will see is the Spire of Dublin or Monument of Light. Its  a really tall Steel Spike. When I arrived to it, some of the local people there had inappropriate names for it LOL. None of my business. It is pretty nice though and I took pictures of it from a distance to upclose.

Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland 2009

Giant’s Causeway are natural volcanic stone columns. Located in Northern Ireland, it is amazing to see in person.

When we went, it was overcast, so we didn’t think we were gonna have a good time. The sun broke through and it made for some great photos.

The rock formations, the hills, the sun, the clouds and ocean… it was pretty cool to see in person.

Just like the drive to Cliffs of Moher, it was a good 4hr drive.

Stonehenge, Wales 2009

The last of our 3 day trip to London/Wales.

This was a must for me. There was some initial push back about it, but I was like, “when am I ever gonna see Stonehenge?” The plan was we would wake up early and Tito Ted would drive us there.

We woke up early and waited and waited… til about 12 noon. Tito Ted rolls up and starts to take us there. ( I am still bewildered to this day what happened!)

It felt like it took more than an hour to get out that way.

Finally we get there and I couldn’t believe it!!! It was light rain, so we had to wear the cheapo poncho coat they sold for $ there!
