Kintai Bridge
Very famous bridge. I was on my way to meet Junya and Saito (they live in Yamaguchi) and they are good people!
I had to stop by here and visit.
I believe it is 300yen to cross the bridge.

In Japanese Shinto, Inari is the the Rice Goddess, so you will find shrines dedicated to her. Her servant was the fox, so you will also many Fox statues at these shrines.
I stopped by here quickly before on my way to Hiroshima. I’ll cover it in the train experience, but this was the local line I took.
I asked someone to take a picture of me and Ithought he did, but apparently not as I didn’t have a photo. I didn’t take much pictures because once I realize my laptop charger was left at home, I couldn’t dump my pictures when I needed too. So I kept pictures to a minimal until I came to the Tuning shops.
I wanted to checkout the Gundam ride and all, but when I looked at the brochure, I saw free model museum!!!
I love the 1/144 models and that is what I collect.
So this was the main reason to go here. There was a car show the next day (Stance G Nation, Odaiba) and I wanted to see the 1/1 scale Gundam!!!
We went inside and got some food (food court is immediately near the opening).
Jasmin went shopping, I went to the top floor to visit the free Gunpla museum!
After our time at Tokyo Skytree, we decided to head to Odaiba.
Asakusa line > Keihin Tohoku line > Rinkai line = Tokyo Teleport station.
Put our stuff in a locker and went walking to see Gundam (which will be a separate post).
Odaiba has buildings that looked futuristic… such is Fuji TV building.
At night!
After staying in Shibuya, we went to Shinjuku for a couple nights. We didn’t stay around the area much except for some shopping…
But here are some gorgeous night shots of the area!
We were walking to Shinjuku station, when I look down one of the streets and saw something pretty amazing.
I saw Godzilla’s head on top of the building!
I AM A HUGE GODZILLA FAN SINCE I WAS A KID!!! So that became a detour.
So I went to Hotel Gracey and went to the 8th floor (followed the signs)
Heading to the terrace, there was the posters of Godzilla movies!!!
My earlier trips to Japan were so focused on cars, that I didn’t bother with seeing or understand the culture of Japan, besides what my friends had exposed to me. So I am thankful my wife was more mindful about seeing some of these great places!
We were staying in Shinjuku for the next 2 days. After checking in and dropping off our stuff, we went to Shinjuku station trying to figure out how to get to Tokyo Skytree.
Jasmin figured out that the Sobu Rapid line and the change at Kin station.
Then Hamzomon subway line to Oshiage Skytree station.
A short walk and some escalator and elevators we were there!!!
There was a long line for the Skytree. Kirby Cafe, and tons of cool shopping stores!
So we had to do some laundry.. We found a spot and spent a couple hours doing that.
I was amazed at a few things.
I decided to have some snacks while waiting.
The same exit for the Shibuya scramble, tucked next to the road and where people like to sit, is the Hachiko Memorial statue.
The story is pretty amazing/sad.
