Final Night in Akihabara

After getting back from Nakano Broadway, we had to do some shopping and Akihabara was the spot we went to.

We came upon a bunch of anime plastered cars and I talked to a few people about their cars. I took pictures of Jacob in front of them too.

Akihabara

This was my first time REALLY exploring Akihabara!

Some of the stores opened up at 11:30, so we kept exploring.

We came upon Tam Tam and it was open. In retrospect, it was a good store. It had tons of car models. I figure there would be other places offering, but there wasn’t as much.

I also didn’t find another place that had tons of Tomica Vintage Limited Neo cars.. This place had a huge selection!!!

The more I looked, the more I saw and it was amazing.

We ate at a small Japanese food truck spot!

There was a Shinkansen festival, but I will make an individual post for that. After that, I saw Mandarake’s store and we went to go check it out!

Arrival to Tokyo

When I decided to go to Japan for the 30th Annual leopard meeting, so many thoughts were going through my head. I thought I would be doing it alone, but Jasmin wanted to come along. She did good because she is great at planning and research.

I didn’t want to make the same mistakes as my previous times (focusing on cars only) and she planned many other things to see and experience.

We arrived to Narita airport and took some quick pictures.

We jumped on the Skyliner to get to Ueno Station and then took a Tokyo Metro subway train to Akihabara station, where we were staying for 2 nights (Thursday and Friday night).

Jasmin figured out the train system, while I just followed her lead. I didn’t pay attention to the different lines.

Finally at Akihabara.
